TIDC monitors county compliance with the Fair Defense Act (policy monitoring). TIDC also monitors the use of grant funds (fiscal monitoring). Monitoring may include court observation, interviews, record review, and more.

Policy Monitoring

TIDC monitors counties to ensure that the core requirements of the Fair Defense Act are being met by examining the local indigent defense plans as well as local procedures and processes. Policy monitoring reports are available with county responses.

Fiscal Monitoring

TIDC monitors counties to ensure that TIDC grant funds are used for authorized purposes. Fiscal monitoring reports are available with county responses.
