Doriana attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where her undergraduate work focused on History, English, and American Literature. She later earned her Master's degree in History from UTEP with a concentration on immigration policy and the borderlands, specifically the El Paso/Ciudad Juárez region.
She previously worked the 84th Legislative Session as a Legislative Aide for State Representative Mary González through the Mexican American Legislative Leadership Foundation Fellowship. Doriana provided administrative assistance to the State Prosecuting Attorney's Office before joining TIDC.
