Eric Schneider is a Grant Specialist at the Texas Indigent Defense Commission (TIDC) with a focus on grants to help counties develop new programs or processes to improve indigent defense (Improvement Grants). Eric attended the University of North Texas where he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History. He comes to TIDC from the Office of the Governor where he worked as an Economic Development Finance Specialist within the Office of Economic Development and as a Grant Manager within the Public Safety Office. His work included service as a program manager for the Texas Enterprise Zone Program and Spaceport Trust Fund Program, and as a grant manager for funds relating to the Victims of Crime Act. Eric maintains a dedication to public service and seeks to ensure eligible grantees understand TIDC resources no matter their region of the State. Eric is a current student at St. Mary’s University School of Law.
