Natasha George, a fifth generation Texas Panhandle native, completed her undergraduate degree in History at Seattle University, graduating cum laude in 2003. She then relocated to Louisiana to study law at the Paul. M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University. After graduating in 2011 with a J.D. and a Graduate Diploma in Civil Law, she spent the next decade representing indigent clients as a felony, and then capital, public defender in parishes throughout Louisiana. After returning home in 2021, she accepted a position as an Assistant Public Defender in the Armstrong and Potter County Public Defender’s Office – the first public defender office in the Panhandle. Throughout her career Natasha has devoted herself to providing high quality indigent representation and she’s particularly interested in the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in rural indigent defense.
